Maestro SERGIU NATRA is an Israeli classical music composer of great international reputation and is one of the most qualitative and important classical composer worldwide in the 20 - 21 centuriesHe is the most eminent and qualitative living composer in Israel and one of its classical music pillars.

NATRA composed several of the greatest, most qualitative and imaginative symphonies, orchestral and chamber music works, among them, the ingenious works  
Symphonic in Red, Blue, Yellow and Green, Symphony for string orchestra no. II, March and Choral for symphonic orchestra, Sonatina for Harp, Divertimento in Ancient Style for string orchestra with piano. Dozens of his works are phenomenal and very important works. 

Already in his youth NATRA was considered a genius in composing.

His superb, very creative and rich music works for the harp, which is one of the most difficult instruments to both composing and playing, made him one of the most performed and heard living composers in the world during the recent decades.

The highest professionalism and phenomenal creativity, vast knowledge and expression ability, the deep, abstract and analytical thinking, the modesty and personal integrity, are all revealed both in his personality and in his writing. 

His extensive works with their unique characteristics in the past seventy-seven years, are sources of inspiration and influence that enrich immensely the world culture, leaving marks on important artists, musicians and listeners from all over the world. These works are also an important legacy for the future generations

His works are of very high quality, originality, creativity, interestedness, intelligence, complexity, innovativity, intensity and excitement, in a universal scale. The works are highly successful and performed by world-renowned performing artists and conductors who praise the quality of his music. The composer's compositions were defined, among other, by prominent composers and conductors, such as the important musician and composer George Enescu, who chose personally to award NATRA a prize named after him, the composer Leon Klapper, composer Alfred Mendelson, conductor Edward Lindenberg, conductor Theodor Rogelsky, conductor Mendy Rodan, conductor Sergiu Comssione, as "ingenious", "masterpieces," "brilliant," "excellent", "monumental", "highest level of universal musical creation". Works of his written for harp were defined as "the greatest works ever written for the harp"

II, Spacetime Symphony, Earth and Water Symphony, March and Coral, Tongues of Fire Symphony, Commentary for Nehemiah Symphony, Festive Overture, Divertimento in Ancient Style, Espaces Sonore, Music for String Quartet no. I & no. II, Sonatina for Harp, Prayer for Harp, Music for Violin and Harp, Commentaires Sentimentaux, Three Street Cortèges, Sonatina for Piano, Esquisses for Flute and Piano, Trio no. I, Variations for Piano and Symphony orchestra, Music for Violin and Piano, Music for Harpsichord and Six Instruments, Variations for Harpsicord and many additional works. 

His special affinity for writing to the harp standout, whether for solo or for ensembles. His works for harp are obligatory or optional works, in harp competitions, international festivals, music academic faculties, as well as master classes, all over the world.

NATRA has a clear European orientation, a clear personal stamp and a particular writing style with melodic flow, polymodal language and ideas, gradual development and shaping of motive material. He makes use of an exceedingly rich palette of sound-colors, unusual instrumental combinations, central registers of instruments (and voices), playing techniques which are natural and comfortable and succeed in producing optimal sound, with its fresh rhythms and sonorities. His creation is of the highest level and excels in its musical intelligence, themes, ideas, richness and imagination. His works are also characterized by the frankness and independence of expression, free of any constraints and without surrendering to fashions.

NATRA’s sources of inspiration are drawn, among others, from life, global events, the Bible and folklore. His works for orchestra, voices and choir, "Tongues of Fire", "Sacred Service" "Song of Deborah" "Prelude and Nehemiah", "Miracle of the People", "Book of Hebrew Songs", are also excellent and very important works which were performed worldwide.

The creation for NATRA is like the title to one of his works – a sacred work: it involves devotion, diligence, perseverance and giving the best. In addition to his phenomenal creativity, he has excellent skills in all the elements of creation, including the orchestration and in all writing techniques for the stringing, winds, brasses, percussion and of course the harp, which allow him to express ideas in a language with different characteristics and colors while exploiting the full range of dynamic possibilities of each instrument.

The composer SERGIU NATRA is a unique figure in the human and professional landscape. His music and life represent tremendous achievement and his work attests to the consistency of professionalism, excellence and incessant creativity in composing classical concert music in various arrangements - orchestral, chamber, solo and vocal. 

In addition to being a fascinating and brilliant composer, Prof. NATRA is a scholar and a man of the highest culture and spirit who among others speaks six languages. 

Scores and recordings of the composer are to be found at, The NATRA Archive, Israel Music Institute, The Library of Congress in the United States, the Lee B. Harold Library in the United States, the Harpospher France, The National Library of Germany, libraries of important universities and education institutions around the world. The composer and his works appeared over the years thousands of times in books, encyclopedias, pen writings, articles and publications, which were published in several languages around the world including Hebrew, English, French, German, Romanian, Spanish and others.

His works were performed and broadcast worldwide, among others, in Israel, the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, Germany, Netherland, Austria, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Swissland, Czech, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Japan, Taiwan, Australia.
